My name is Aoi. I'm a Japanese teacher and a translator. Currently I live in Mexico and I used to live in Sweden.

I love plants, pilates, dance playing the drums, travelling, fashion, going to the gym, watching movies and anime.

I have been teaching Japanese here on Italki for ANY LEVELED STUDENTS and AGE OVER 8 YEARS OLD for about 10 years and as a volunteer for another 5 years at several Japanese language schools in Tokyo.
I've been working as a translator and also with kids at kindergarten for 5years.
I'm good at adjusting to your speaking level. So beginners are always welcome! Of course advanced level as well! Kids over 8 years old are also welcome!

私は東京のいくつかの日本語学校で5年間ボランティアとして日本語を教えてきました。作文の直し、会話の練習、語彙を増やすお手伝いなどをしました。
現在は、一人の生徒に個人的に日本語を教えているのですが、その生徒は文法と会話を中心にやりたいということだったのでそういった要望に合わせた授業を行っています。

I have 3 different courses.
A conversation practice course
A grammar focused course for beginners up to N1 or kids(we can also read Manga or articlesetc... ).
A writting correction course ( Essay, CV, Diary etc...)
But I can adjust to anything you want to learn. I have Japanese textbook pdf.
So first, we will talk about what you mainly focus on and then I will make a lesson plan for you.
MY LESSON HAS A SPECIAL SERVICE!!
I make a list of new vocab and Flashcard and correct grammar mistakes on a note which will be sent after the lesson. So that you can look up and self study after the lesson.

I had a lovely trial lesson with Aoi-sensei. She made me feel very relaxed and comfortable. She was very patient with me and the conversation flowed nicely. She corrected my mistakes and helped me with vocabulary and grammar in a way that encouraged the conversation so I came away from the lesson feeling more confident in my speaking. We covered goals for future lessons and she spoke at a speed and vocabulary level that was easy for me to understand without feeling patronising. She provided me with a list of vocabulary and grammar points at the end of the lesson so that I can practice my mistakes. I'm really looking forward to my next lesson with Aoi-sensei!

今日もありがとうございます。If you are looking for a Japanese language teacher, I highly recommend Aoi-san! I've been doing weekly lessons with her for three and a half months now and my Japanese has progressed so much. She is very patient, kind and funny. She sends me a list of vocabulary we talked about in the lesson as well as any mistakes that I made with the corrections so that I can learn from them. She is easily able to keep the conversation flowing and engaging. I look forward to speaking with her every single week. I recently bumped up the amount of lesson time because the time flies by so quickly! Thank you again Aoi-san! ❤❤

Aoi is an excellent teacher! She's really good at explaining; it's detailed and clear. Even though we were out of time, she took the extra time to explain and made sure that I didn't leave the lesson with any unanswered questions. She's very patient and cheers you on, so you'll never feel discouraged! It feels more like you're having a conversation with a friend than a lesson, which I really enjoy!
