Hello, my name is Verena and I am 37 years old. In the past I have lived and worked in the US, in Latin America, Europe and Asia. In addition to German, English, Greek and Italian I also speak basic French and Spanish. I am a state-examined nurse and I am specialized preparing nurses and medical students in for their exams and work in the hospital.
Since 2016 I have been teaching German, English, Spanish and Italian in private lessons to students from different ages, both adults and children. I became a certified foreign language teacher in 2021 and have been teaching single and group courses, in different languages to groups of students from all over the world.عني كمعلّم
Being a language learner myself I am aware of the difficulties that you will have to overcome practicing a foreign language and I will show you different techniques which help you improve your language skills, depending on your level, your interest and your personal goals. My mother tongue is German and I have taught many students and adults the basics of the German language and grammar. I am patient and a good listener, and I will give space to each student to express his ideas and thoughts, helping you to formulate phrases in typical German or English language. دروسي وأسلوب تدريسي
Lessons will focus on ecouraging you to practice orally, as this is the best way to understand your conversation partner, to be understood and thus improve your fluency. You will feel at ease as lessons will be tailored directly to your needs, your language level, your personal goals and your interests. I've enjoyed all my lessons with Verena. We practice a lot of speaking and I feel how I improve over time. Also, Verena explains grammar rules in a very accessible manner and helps me to implement grammar rules in speech. Besides, all our lessons are very fun and interesting

Wonderful lesson with Verena! She is helping me expand my German medical terminology and expressions as I prepare to enter the German healthcare system next year. Verena is always well prepared, detail-oriented, supportive, patient, and genuinely fun to talk to. We have a lot of material to cover, but I feel excited and motivated. I’m also very confident in her approach and expertise. We’re even tackling some of my weaker grammar areas along the way. I’m already looking forward to our next lesson!

Another fantastic lesson — the time flew by because I was enjoying it so much :) I learned a lot and picked up so many useful medical terms without it ever feeling overwhelming. Conversation with Verena is always lively and engaging, and she does a great job of picking up on mistakes and then briefly diverting to integrate the appropriate grammatical concept.
