I’m Hiromi, a Japanese teacher based in Japan.
I mainly help beginner to pre-intermediate learners build confidence and improve their grammar, using everyday and travel-related topics to make Japanese practical and fun.
I love movies and history, and I enjoy creating lessons around your interests to help you say, “I did it!”

Having lessons with Hiromi-sensei is like catching up with a very patient friend who just happens to be qualified and extremely competent in teaching Japanese. Our conversations are fun, but she is always prepared for our lessons and accommodates my learning requests.
When I first started taking lessons, our lessons had a lot of English since I couldn't understand a lot of Japanese. Now our lessons are almost entirely (if not completely) in Japanese!

Classes with Hiromi sensei are always amazing. Reflecting back, I really noticed a huge improvement in my speaking and listening abilities. Thanks to her patient and interesting lessons, I am now able to fully understand simple Japanese lessons even when they are conducted entirely in Japanese and reply with reasonable speed too. I still make mistakes but can reasonably express my meaning. Looking forward to another year of progress!

Today's lesson was a bit tricky for me with the grammar presented, but Hiromi-Sensei was patient as usual when explaining the key topics in great detail!
