Hi! My name is Mike and I would really love to be your teacher! Since I was in middle school, I've had a passion for learning languages. I then decided to study German in college and after a classroom experience while being a Fulbright scholar in Germany, I realized that I wanted to be a teacher. I then completed my Master's degree in Adolescent Education in German and taught at a public school for four years and at Binghamton University for two semesters before relocating to Germany. I currently teach German and English in Germany. I really love traveling, cooking, technology, film, and photography. I look forward to meeting you in our lessons and hope you have a fantastic day! The most important aspect in the classroom to me is how the student feels. It's always ok to make mistakes - we are all humans and we do that. If you've chosen me as a teacher, I want you to feel safe and I want you to feel that you are getting out of the learning what you want. I am a very patient individual and you will never need to feel rushed around me. I want to set you up for success and I always want to hear your constructive criticism! I will come to class each lesson prepared with a lesson with you in mind. It is so important for me to get to know you, your wants, and needs, and present them to you realistically.دروسي وأسلوب تدريسي
During the first class, we will get to know each other. I might take the time to figure out your language level. Based on your needs, we can discuss a curriculum outline. I love incorporating topics you're interested in and your goals. I structure class with a "bell ringer" or "entrance task" to review what we did the last lesson. Then I'll introduce the next step to scaffold your learning using authentic resources in the target language (like a menu or advertisement). Say we learned verbs the day before and now we'll conjugate verbs and try communicating using the context being asked. At the end of each lesson I'll "test" you to see where you are at.
