My name is Hasan, I'm from Beirut, Lebanon. I have a BA in audio-visual arts and a passion for Arabic literature and linguistics. I worked in the film industry for several years as a writer and director of documentaries and TV ads. I love learning and teaching languages, as I believe they open the doors to new cultures and ideas!
I'm always seeking to learn something new and going through novel experiences! My hobbies include playing Oud, the most beautiful Arabic instrument, cycling, pencil sketching, and woodworking.عني كمعلّم
I practiced tutoring since high school and through my first years in university. I have been teaching Arabic online for more than 5 years to students of all levels, and different backgrounds. I gained lots of experience in how to teach a language and made lots of new friends! دروسي وأسلوب تدريسي
In the first phase, classes are centered around practicing conversations related to real-life situations, and simplified grammar lessons to help you speak fluently. After building a solid foundation, we start with the second phase in which we introduce new activities where you express yourself and speak about your life. We will also start adding materials such as songs, TV shows, and blog posts to immerse ourselves in the culture. I'll say it again! Hasan is the best!
My original goal was to be conversational in 3-5 years of study. Now, I'm well on course to be more comfortable talking and expressing myself in colloquial Arabic by the end of Summer.
Thanks to Hasan, I've been able to cut my time in half. He has great insights and suggestions.

Hasan has provided a very comprehensive introduction to his teaching style and the structure of his Arabic course. He is positive and professional. He explains things clearly. We had time to not just about approach and helpful additional resources, but also go over grammatical points mainly the possessive. I very much look forward to continuing learning Arabic with him!
