I’m Edison, born and raised in the Philippines. I hold a business degree and a TEFL certification, and I work as a geospatial analyst. After four years in the corporate world, I moved to Europe to teach—first as an English assistant in Madrid, then privately—and later lived in the Czech Republic and Lithuania. I’m a multilingual learner: self‑studied French & Spanish; conversational Italian & Portuguese; travel‑ready Russian & Czech; and now tackling Indonesian. Outside teaching, I play guitar, drums, harmonica, and piano. I also love basketball, chess, street photography, writing, and travel—I’ve visited over 40 countries.عني كمعلّم

Edison is seriously the best- he's super patient and really cares about your learning. I feel like that's a large reason why I've made so much progress with him! Definitely take his classes if you want to learn how to express and articulate your thoughts :)

Great first lesson and conversation with Edison! He’s very patient, and I appreciate that he continuously spoke in Tagalog even though at times I stumbled through my own. He’s a good conversationalist in general and spoke clearly in a way I can understand as someone who’s not super confident in their Tagalog yet! Whenever there was something I wasn’t sure about, he was quick to help out as well! Overall great first lesson and I look forward to booking again in the future

My second lesson with Miguel was great! He was very patient with me again when I was struggling with my Tagalog, and he answered the grammar questions I had. We also talked about our jobs, and our mutual understanding of Kapampangan. Salamat ulit!

Another great lesson with Miguel! We had some casual conversation in Tagalog about our plans for Valentine's Day and the Super Bowl, and then we did a roleplaying exercise in Tagalog where I pretended to go to a doctor's office and make an appointment. Maraming salamat!
