Bonjour!
I am Meg, I am from Orléans (France) living now in Vancouver BC. I graduated in Law in 2013 but decided to change my career and teach when I moved to Vancouver in 2018. I moved to the other side of the globe to improve my english but most of all because I needed a big change in my life.
I love teaching my language and culture to others! I am interested in various topics: travel, education, health etc. My hobbies include (but are not limited to) reading, gardening & hiking. I am also a new mom so I love talking about parenthood (I promise I will try not to talk too much about my daughter :D).

I graduated in Law in 2013 but decided to change my career and teach when I moved to Vancouver in 2018. I got a certification to teach French as a second language in 2019. That same year I started teaching in different schools in Vancouver (in person).
4 years later I have experience teaching online & in person, teaching to adults, teenagers and children both in group and one on one, preparing high quality classes, creating and adapting material for my students.
I am patient and empathetic. More than anything I want you to be comfortable. If you are, you’ll be able to try and try again even though you are making mistakes (you will - and it’s ok!).

I have experience teaching French from A1 level to C2 (beginners to advanced). I provide the material and adapt all my ressources to your goals and needs.
We can start from scratch or improve your level, prepare an exam (DELF, TCF, TEF etc.), or basically work on anything you would like to.

I used the communicative approach and offered unmatched learning and knowledge. Topics were based on everyday and practical situations. Students learned through interactive exercises and engaging discussions to help them build a strong foundation. Classes included pronunciation rules and drills, vocabulary, verbs, useful phrases, sentence patterns, and grammar.

Meg is a truly wonderful teacher. Her lessons are simple, relevant, and enjoyable. Even when the topic appears complicated, she is very thorough in her explications and has a variety of exercises and activities to reinforce the material. I started as an absolute beginner and after our 34th lesson together, I am about to graduate to Level B1 in French! She’s a delight to learn from, and I’m so thrilled to have her as mon professeur.
