Lucía

Lucia is an outstanding language instructor! She is thorough in her explanations and always gives helpful examples. The homework is helpful practice, and she gives corrections to help you actually learn from your mistakes. When you are doing challenging topics like subjunctive, she is very patient and clear. I highly recommend her to any student who wants to actually learn Spanish in a meaningful and fun way!

My recent class with Lucía was mind-blowing. I've been struggling for a couple of years to learn certain grammatical concepts of the Spanish language. Even after reading many grammar books and taking classes with other teachers, I just couldn't quite grasp it. However, after a session with Lucía, I am finally able to understand them! She describes and explains things so beautifully. I'm so grateful to be working with her!! I feel like, little by little, I'm achieving my dream of learning, understanding, and one day speaking fluent Spanish.

Lucía is an excellent teacher! I feel like I've already learned so much from her in such a short time. She is very patient and really takes her time explaining concepts so you understand thoroughly. I've wanted to learn Spanish for so many years and fears of making mistakes have really held me back from making progress, but I'm not scared of making mistakes with her because she's not judgemental at all with my errors. It has opened up a whole new world for me and makes me feel so hopeful that I will really make meaningful long term progress. Her lessons feel like talking to a friend because she's so personable. I would absolutely recommend her, especially for someone who is afraid of making mistakes.

Having Lucía as a teacher has been a great experience so far. After only a couple of months, my Spanish has improved so much. As I started these lessons with a very minimal understanding of Spanish, Lucía has started from the beginning for me. Lucía is a patient and dedicated teacher who really takes the time for me to fully understand a topic before we move onto something new - this is personally very beneficial for my learning style. As a person, Lucía is positive and kind which always makes turning up to class a lot easier after a full day of work! Lucía knows that my girlfriend is from Costa Rica, so also adds some local phrases into class sometimes which is fun. I would recommend Lucía to anyone wanting to learn Spanish as she is committed to ensuring you leave her lessons speaking like a native. I am looking forward to seeing my progression with Lucía in a few more months ! :)
