Fernando is a fantastic teacher. His lessons are structured around a theme, and are designed to get the student to speak as much as possible. His thoughtful questions always make for an engaging discussion, and his attentive corrections, provided in written format, are helping me to improve my speaking ability. Fernando's command of the grammatical rules in the 4 romance languages I study with him is impressive, as is his ability to easily explain the similarities/differences between these languages.

I’ve been studying 4 languages regularly with Fernando for 2.5 years. He is more thorough and more knowledgeable than any other teacher I’ve worked with on italki, or elsewhere. I recently decided to try out a coaching session and it was extremely illuminating, even more than I expected. Over the years I’ve learned a lot from Fernando about how to learn languages, but having such a concentrated coaching session helped me see the big picture even more and I know it will be useful in putting together a more detailed study plan that will allow me to reach my goals sooner. Learning languages is a long process, particularly if you want to achieve a high level of fluency. Having expert guidance along the way is critical, and that’s what Fernando’s coaching offers.
