Olá! My name is Sandra, and I hold a CELTA certificate from the University of Cambridge Local Examinations Syndicate (UCLES) and a CAPPLE certificate from the Faculty of Letters at the University of Porto.
I have a degree in Communication and a Master's in Art and Technology of Sound.
As a native speaker, I’m passionate about sharing my language and culture. I also dedicate myself to music production, blending my love for sound with creativity.
Currently, I’m learning German (A1) and advancing my Spanish (B2).
I believe in kindness, humanity, and the power of teaching to help others.عني كمعلّم
I believe that my strongest personal trait as a teacher is my ability to be empathic and put myself in the students' place. I regularly try to understand my students' needs and doubts first and only after that do I start with an explanation.
We all have different learning curves and different abilities but there is no one incapable of acquiring knowledge. This is what I truly believe in, that is why I am successful with my students. My adaptability is another strong personal trait. I am fun, relaxed and able to motivate any student and make them feel confident about themselves. This is because, in my opinion, the biggest problem when learning a language is the fear of making mistakes. دروسي وأسلوب تدريسي
The four skills I cover in Portuguese as a foreign language lessons are reading, writing, listening, and speaking. I use student's books, grammars, exercise books, and many other proven materials focused on Portuguese for foreigners. I make learning Portuguese fun and relaxing.

Durante estes 3 anos, tive um contacto muito próximo com todos os meus alunos que eram de várias nacionalidades. Por esse motivo todas as formações ou comunicações eram ministradas na língua Inglesa. Os materiais de formação foram construídos por mim, assim como todas as ações de formação contínua. Esta experiência providenciou um contacto próximo com alunos de níveis muito diferentes. Desde iniciantes a avançados. Esta proximidade com os alunos revelou-se uma enorme mais valia no ensino da língua inglesa, uma vez que permitiu ao estudante ir ficando mais à vontade e consequentemente combater os seus receios durante a aprendizagem.

Sandra is easily the best teacher I have ever had. She is very professional, has great english and conversation skills. She will make you work hard on every aspect of the Portuguese language while keeping the lessons light and fun. Highly recommended.

Sandra is a consummate professional and excellent teacher. I especially appreciate her focus on the 4 core skills. Reading out loud and speaking/conversation are my challenge areas and she never makes you feel harried or pressured and always provides encouragement (which we learners generally need to stay motivated). Her lessons aren't a cake walk but you can trust you'll be more competent in PT-PT after each.
