Ran gave a very good first lesson, she assessed my level and created a plan for future lessons based on my goals, she also helped me to practice speaking using the words I know and some new ones, this will really help me make conversation and boost my confidence. Ran is a very flexible and easy to talk to teacher. She did an amazing job accommodating my lesson request to free talk and discuss topics I am interested in, such as sports, culture and other hobbies. Her Mandarin is crystal clear and she shared new words and phrases in both pinyin and characters.
My favourite part of the class was Ran's ability to summarise and re-share her understanding of what I was saying. This helps me hear how how a native speaker would say the same thing and also allows for me to hear corrections without stalling the flow of the conversation.
I would strongly recommend Ran to anyone who has the goal of reaching a higher Mandarin level.
