Hello! My name is Rosângela, I'm 43 years old, and I live in the city of São Paulo, Brazil. I've been a tutor at italki for just over two years, and I've enjoyed the experience! I believe that learning a language is one of the richest ways to get to know new cultures, and I have learned a lot about this, met people from many parts of the world and made good friends. In addition to being a tutor, I have a degree in Philosophy and Visual Arts. I like to talk about my fields of study and culture in general, but I'm also interested in learning new things, and I'm always willing to talk about topics of interest to students, so there will be no shortage of topics!

عني كمعلّم

I am friendly and enjoy talking and getting to know students to understand their needs and goals. Thus, I can make a personalized and pleasant class for students, dealing with topics of their interest, according to their rhythm and focusing on points to be improved. I'm quite informal, and I try to make students feel free to learn, so I'm always available to listen and, as far as possible, answer their questions.

دروسي وأسلوب تدريسي

The classes are based on conversation and, from there, we deal with other topics of language learning, such as pronunciation, intonation, and vocabulary, always having the dialogue as a guiding thread. Classes are personalized, adapted to the students' needs, and focused on the points they would like to improve. For beginning students, we will start with the introductory topics of the language, but always with conversation as our goal. The materials used are also those that best suit the learning interests, so we can use newspapers, textbooks, videos, etc. I can also give guidelines for writing short texts, correcting the writing, and suggesting other materials to use outside the classroom.

Rosângela always prepares meticulously for language lessons. Even if you grow out of ideas, she finds just the right questions to start the conversation and make you learn things that you don't know yet. With her insightful remarks about pronounciation, grammar and vocabulary, you learn a lot in each lesson. You can see that she has a lot of experience in teaching.

One can study vocabulary and grammar on one's own, but in order to learn how to speak a language, one needs an interlocutor. Rosângela is weĺl-suited to the role because she has thoughtful views on interesting topics, and because she is curious about the experiences and perspectives of her students. It is very easy to talk with Rosângela. I find that in addition to helping me improve my Portuguese, she also broadens my understanding of life. I recommend her classes.
