My name is Jess and I come from the north of England. After living in London for the past 10 years, I have moved to Berlin - and I love it!
In January 2020, I trained as a TEFL teacher (Teaching English as a Foreign Language).
In 2011, I trained as an actor and have been acting and directing since 2014.
Whilst training, I did a lot of work on voice training, accents and phonetics.عني كمعلّم
I believe it is important to feel comfortable when learning a new language. I have been learning to speak German for the last year - so I completely understand how difficult and nerve-wracking it can be!
This has helped me become a better teacher, as I can see what methods work for me when learning and can then use them in my English lessons.
I am also skilled at noticing pronunciation difficulties and finding methods for students to pronounce these with more ease, as well as helping students to develop a more natural sounding accent when speaking English.

My main aim is to make learning fun and enjoyable. I believe you learn something much quicker when it is taught in an interesting way and it is something you feel excited to learn.
I offer lessons based around:

- Grammar correction
I can supply reading material and writing exercises, such as:
- Grammatical exercises
- Articles
- Emails/Letters
- Flyers
- Advertisements
- Short stories

Jess answers all the questions with details. I often ask about subtle difference between various phrases and she gives perfect explanation and example every time. Great lesson.

Super great first lesson with Jess, it was a lot of fun and Jess has a really excellent pronunciation, she is a very open and sympathetic personality, I think I will improve my English a lot with some training lessons - thanks Jess

Jess is an absolute game changer when it comes improving your pronunciation. She could make Arnold Schwarzenegger sounding like the Queen in no time. Highly recommend 11 out of 10!
