Hallo! I’m Mandy, a native German teacher from northern Germany, specialising in German for Tourism, Conversation Practice, and General German. Having lived in the UK for many years before settling in Spain, I understand the challenges of starting a new life abroad; from everyday situations to workplace communication. My experiences help me support students in reaching their personal and professional goals in German. I have a degree in language studies with a focus on language and creativity and have promoted language learning in British schools. In my free time, I enjoy life with my dog and exploring both old and new hobbies.عني كمعلّم
As a teacher, I prioritise kindness and patience, having gone through the language learning process myself, I understand that it's not always a linear journey. Sometimes you find it easy, while at other times it can be frustrating. I want to help you overcome any obstacles that you encounter in your learning journey and ensure that you enjoy the process, while keeping a relaxed atmosphere. I also believe in holistic and human-centered learning and I want students to become curious and confident learners. I encourage all my students to bring questions and observations into the lessons as you will learn most when you are really engaged in the process.دروسي وأسلوب تدريسي
In our lessons, we'll mainly focus on conversation so that you can express yourself freely and find your authentic "German" voice. It's important to maximise our speaking time and work on automising your knowledge, so you will feel more confident. Together, we'll explore new vocabulary, work on grammar, and improve pronunciation. Grammar will always be integrated in topics as you'll remember it best when it is taught in context and not in isolation. It is also more fun and less dry :) I'm flexible and happy to structure our lessons based on your unique needs and interests, so you can get the most out of each session.موادي الخاصة بالتدريس

Eine weitere geniale Stunde mit Mandy. Diese Konversationsstunden machen immer so viel Spaß und ich lerne so viele Vokabeln aus dem wirklichen Leben, die man einfach nicht von einer App bekommen kann! Immer noch meine Lieblingsstunde der Woche!

Mandy was very engaging and enthusiastic! She also balanced conversation and correcting small mistakes well. A hallmark of her approach also includes developing individual plans, which for me is very helpful.

Mandy is an incredible instructor who brings enthusiasm and engaging conversation to every class. She consistently catches your mistakes and encourages you to think through what needs to be corrected. As a language learner herself, Mandy is familiar with the challenges and frustrations that can come with studying a language, and she is always ready to provide encouragement and vary the teaching materials/format in order to keep things stimulating. My lessons with Mandy are always fun, challenging, and rewarding :)
