Wo ho te sɛn? (How are you?) I’m Dacosta, a Ghanaian Twi and English teacher with 12+ years of experience helping students speak confidently! As a certified educator and psychologist (MPhil, BA Psychology), I specialized in making language learning practical, fun, and tailored to your goals—whether you’re a beginner mastering basics or an advanced learner diving into Twi proverbs. Born into the Ashanti culture and fluent in Twi/Fante, I blend cultural insights with structured lessons (flashcards, audio notes, and real-life examples!). I am a professional teacher with a Diploma in Basic Education, Bachelor of Arts in Psychology with Political science, and MPhil in Psychology.
TEACHING EXPERIENCE
i. 15 years teaching experience in Twi and English
ii. I have been teaching on Italki since 2020.
iii. I teach both children and adults ranging from beginners to advanced levels.
iv. On Italki I have taught 6-65 year olds
v. I have enough patience to teach and be their friends.

Dacosta was very patient during our class. He is very flexible to his students' needs. I am a heritage speaker of the language, so he was able to teach me without speaking English, therefore I received full immersion. During our class, Dacosta was able to provide explanations that many native speakers are not capable of explaining properly. I feel confident that he will be able to assist me with reaching my language goals.
