Hi there! My name is Sharon and I´m a native German speaker. I live in Bolivia, in South America, for 11 years now and know exactly what it feels like to be "lost in translation" ;-) As a former trilingual secretary/assistant, I always enjoyed very much to study languages. However, a new language also comes along with a new culture. Since I live in Bolivia I appreciate more and more the positive aspects of a certain culture. I love German punctuality and reliability. But now, I also appreciate the Bolivian laid-back lifestyle more and do not always feel stressed out. When I am not teaching, I love to bake German cakes and pastries since I miss this so much from Germany!عني كمعلّم
I´m a foreign language correspondent for English and Spanish certified by the Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Freiburg (Germany). I started working as an English and German teacher about 6 years ago and have taught people of different age groups and cultures. I taught students in large and small groups offline and also in one-to-one lessons online.دروسي وأسلوب تدريسي
What all students have in common is that they only make progress by actually speaking the language and having somebody on their side who corrects mistakes in a friendly and patient way. I always encourage my students to speak a lot and not to feel bad if their pronunciation or grammatical correctness is not the best. Every student is different and so are their needs. Therefore, I adapt my lessons to the needs that students might have, whether they prepare for an exam, for their next stay in Germany or maybe they just want to practice their speaking abilities. To keep it fun I like to use pictures, picture stories, short videos, audio, and exercises.موادي الخاصة بالتدريس

Sharon has been really helpful in improving my German. She has excellent teaching skills and knows exactly when to interfere and correct me or when to let go of something for the sake of the conversation flow. She also teaches the right amount of grammar when necessary and is very flexible with what to do in the lessons. I'm very happy to have found her on Italki. :)

I really enjoy taking Sharon's class. Among the several Italki teachers I have had, she has been the most patient and very good at encouraging me to talk, no matter how convoluted my brains get with the German word order. She is a very knowledgeable teacher of the German language and explains the nuances in a friendly and unstressful learning environment. Deutsch lernen macht Spaß mit Sharon!

Mit Sharon zu sprechen ist etwas, das ich sehr genieße. Sie ist immer hilfreich und gedüldig und hat immer gute Laune. Sie bemerkt meine Fehler und weist mir die richtigen deutschen Ausdrücke hin. Wir finden immer interessante Diskussionsthemen. Die Diskussion mit ihr hat mir dabei geholfen, selbstbewusst mit anderen Deutschsprächigen sich zu unterhalten.
