A highly enthusiastic and dedicated tutor, I am a native Italian speaker from a wonderful region called Le Marche. It’s been 7 years since I first discovered freelance teaching, and I have tutored over 300 students from all over the world. When I am off the screen, I work as an Operations Manager in a Travel Agency, I play the accordion (total Italian stereotype, isn’t it?), dance salsa and listen to sertanejo music.عني كمعلّم
I attended an Italian Liceo Classico, a school emphasizing on the learning of Italian Literature, Latin and Ancient Greek, as means to deeply understand modern Italian grammar and acquire a vast vocabulary.
My first goal will be to identify the best teaching method for you, understand your passions and what motivates you, in order to provide the best tailor-made learning experience.

✔ Grammar: explanation of a grammar topic + interactive exercises
✔ Vocabulary: reading an article or watching a video + bilateral discussion with correction of diction and work on the use of synonyms to enrich the vocabulary

A very good lesson with Lina! She encouraged me to speak entirely in Italian and she put up with all my errors while gently correcting them when necessary. She is very patient, funny, and encouraging. I also really appreciated that she typed out all the words and expressions with which I struggled so that I could practice them aloud with her, and also so that I can go back and review them. I’ve been taking classes with Lina for a long time and appreciate immensely her company and teaching skills. She is incredibly knowledgeable, creative, empathetic, and always positive. After each class, I think about the topics we discussed, go over new words and expressions, and it gives me a true joy and a sense of connection with the language and culture. Can’t wait for the next class.
