Nessma Hassan

Nessma helps me so much to speak the Egyptian Arabic language and to really hone in on the concepts that I don't understand well so that I can make the correction and use the phrase or sentence structure correctly the next time. It has been such an amazing experience working with her for over a year. Her grace and understanding and patience when I sometimes ask her to explain the same concept over again is astounding. She understands English exceptionally well and always tries to convey what the Arabic meaning would be in English so that it can be contextualized for my understanding. She truly is the best Arabic teacher I've ever had and am so privileged that I can learn from her multiple times a week.

Nessma is a brilliant, engaging, well-organised and supportive teacher. Her English is perfect, and her learning resources are super helpful. I look forward to continuing my learning with her.

I had a wonderful lesson with Nessma Hassan today! She was very kind and patient, which made me feel comfortable throughout the session. What stood out the most was her deep knowledge of cultural differences and how these influence the various Arabic dialects.I’m studying the Egyptian dialect, but have the opportunity to learn about standard Arabic as well 😇. I took about 10 Arabic lessons with Nessma before going on vacation to Egypt. Nessma is an amazing teacher! She is kind, knowledgeable, helpful, and really goes above and beyond for her students. Nessma helped me to understand many concepts and words from the Kallimni Arabi book and it was very informative. Every time we have a lesson I feel more and more confident speaking Arabic in the Egyptian dialect and feel like I could speak with others even if they did not speak English. This is a great feeling and I can't wait to learn more with Nessma!

Nessma helped me to understand vocabulary associated with going on a beach vacation. This is super helpful as I want to visit the beaches in Egypt. She explained a lot of things through photos today and it helped me to visualize the things she was explaining. I'm so glad to be able to talk all in Arabic with her now. It's taken me so long but I'm finally feeling comfortable enough not to keep asking what every word is in a sentence. I'm putting together the meanings and it makes a huge difference in my confidence as well.
