Hi, My name is Kawroj. I am native Turkish and Kurdish speaker from Turkey, and teach Turkish and Kurdish. I also have experience and a college degree as a Geography teacher!
Until recently, Kurdish was a language that has not been accessable because it has been prohibited in the countries where it is spoken. Also, on the internet, Google Translate and online dictionaries are not always accurate. This is why it is important to have access to native speakers like me to help you learn the language!
I also teach Turkish! I grew up in Turkey, so I understand the culture, and speak Turkish at a native level. So if you need help understanding the language, I can also help you learn!
I taught geography for eight years, and recieved my geography degree from Ankara Public University. I have also been teaching language for seven years. Because of this, I have lots of experience as a teacher, and know how to understand and adapt to your needs as a student.
For our learning journey, I will help you by using flashcards, slides, listening exercises, and will create a personal document just for you to help you learn the language!
It is important that you know the most common words first because you will use these 80% of the time, so I prepared a list of the most common verbs in Turkish and Kurdish. We will also start by learning common nouns and adjectives.

Kawroj is a great teacher; she seeks out material and plans learning around exactly what I need to study. She is calm and patient with me in lessons and really good at giving real-world examples of how the language is spoken, particularly variations between dialects. Kawroj is the perfect language teacher. She always writes down everything in our Google Doc so that I can go back and practice later. It works perfectly for visual learners like me. She makes the class engaging with different materials, conversations, and new content!

Kawroj is an amazing teacher! She taught me both Kurdish and Turkish for a few weeks before my trip to eastern Turkey. I have learned so much and am excited to use my language skills! Kawroj is fantastic! I do not have prior knowledge of Kurdish so this is my first time learning; she is extremely patient, kind, and her teaching skills are effective! I’d definitely recommend her to those who want to learn Turkish or Kurdish.
