¡Hola! I'm Miguel, a certified Spanish teacher from Colombia (Instituto Cervantes & UPB), with real-world experience working in Mexico and Spain. I specialize in helping beginners and travelers start speaking Spanish confidently from day one. With 5+ years of online teaching and hundreds of lessons taught, I’ve helped students go from “I know nothing” to having real conversations. My goal is to make Spanish clear, practical, and enjoyable from the very first class. My lessons are dynamic and focused on real communication. I use an integrated approach that combines conversation, grammar, vocabulary, and everyday situations, so you don’t just memorize rules, you learn how Spanish works and how to use it naturally. We build step by step: from simple words and useful phrases to full conversations. Grammar is introduced in context through situations you’ll actually use while traveling or in daily life, like introducing yourself, ordering food, asking for directions, or making small talk. I create a relaxed and supportive environment where mistakes are part of learning, so you can speak with confidence. By the end of each lesson, you’ll notice real progress and feel more comfortable communicating. Outside the classroom, I enjoy gaming, movies, and language quirks, so expect friendly, engaging lessons with good energy. 🚀

I´ve been taking lessons with Miguel for a couple years now and I can´t recommend him enough. He has catered every lesson I´ve taken to both my speed & style of learning, going out of his way to create whole new lesson plans just for me when I had particular points I wanted to work on. He does well balancing both the technical / grammatical aspects of Spanish as well the colloquial & idiomatic aspects that will help you when using Spanish out in the real world. I took my first trip to Mexico City last year and I can't imagine a teacher who could've prepared me better. Thanks Miguel!

As an adult learner, Miguel was an excellent choice as my first teacher. He brought with him patience, humor and a historical knowledge of Spanish that was incredible. His communication and teaching is very fun and casual, while still professional and efficient.

I’ve been taking online lessons with Miguel for the last year and he's been incredible. Every class is structured, thoughtfully prepared, and perfectly balanced between challenge and fun. Miguel was very patient during our taster lesson. His presentation/lesson plan was well structured. Taught me a fun native word for “cat” since my cat kept walking infront of the camera!🤦🏼‍♀️
