I'm a professional online teacher of Russian. I have a first degree in Linguistics, and I completed a professional training program in Methods of Teaching Russian as a Foreign Language at the Moscow State University Russian Language Centre, earning the qualification as Teacher of Russian as a Foreign Language.
I’m passionate about languages and have learned several (and I’m still learning!), so I truly understand what it feels like to study from scratch and struggle with real-life speech.
My interests range from culture and literature to sports, art, and travel a rich base for thoughtful conversations in Russian.عني كمعلّم
I’m patient and attentive, and I always adapt my lessons to your needs, interests, and pace. I like creating a relaxed and safe space where you can speak freely, make mistakes, and feel comfortable using the language.

Maria is a great teacher. She understands English very well, and can interpret the meaning behind each sentence and example. She is very knowledgeable about translating sentences from English and creating quality sentences in Russian, though the structure of the two languages is very different. I strongly suggest.

Maria is absolutely wonderful, charming and brilliant. The class is structured with purpose and her learning style adapts to the student. Progress has been meaningful and deliberate.
