My name is Simone Davids. I am a proud South African citizen. Teaching is my passion for the last 30 years. I live in a forever changing environment and I can speak 3 languages. I started learning English at the age of 6 years old because it is part of my education in my country. I started learning German at the age of 10. My hobbies are listening to music, watching documentaries of different countries and traveling to the Far East. The latest news in the world interest me. I have been traveling to Thailand ten times and couldn't get enough. I thrive on learning about people's culture and diversities. My Motto is: LIFE IS BEAUTIFUL no matter what happens in my life.عني كمعلّم
I am a qualified Foundation Phase teacher. My last qualification is an Honours Bachelor of Education in Education management. I have 30 years of teaching experience. My core responsibilities are teaching students who have learning challenges in English, and Afrikaans. The progress of every student as an individual is vital because each one is unique and special in their own way. My learners are diverse on every level. My approach as a teacher is a value-based approach that includes differentiation and respect. I teach English as a foreign language to our foreign learners. I have learned to have patience with my students. I train teachers on a termly basis.دروسي وأسلوب تدريسي
My lessons are based on the student's level. The lesson would include conversation and inform the student what the lesson is for the day. Students get immediate feedback from me as it is vital for their learning. Feeling at ease is key during the lesson. My strength is patience with my students and I promote never to give up. I follow an integrated planning which includes speaking, pronunciation, writing and vocabulary. The lessons are quite interactive and fun. Connecting with my students is vital because I plan according to their ability. TPR is the most important teaching style, especially for those who are beginners.
