I’m Najma, a native Indonesian tutor with 5+ years of experience helping students speak confidently.
Born and raised in Jakarta, I teach real-life Bahasa Indonesia for travel, work, and daily convo.
As a multilingual learner, I understand the challenges, and I make learning feel natural and practical.

Speaking three languages taught me how challenging learning a new one can be, but... also how rewarding it is. It’s helped me adapt quickly and build confidence in new environments.
Everyone learns differently, so I focus on what works best for you.

I use Google Docs for real-time collaboration, so we can track your progress, corrections, and assignments easily.

EF Set English Certificate 67/100 (C1 Advanced) - EF Standard English Test - 2024The EF SET score is calculated as an average of the reading and listening scores. At this level, it is easy to feel comfortable in most situations that require full comprehension of spoken English and it is rare to be confused or be at a loss for meanings of words and phrases. it is easy also to read both factual and literary texts, with recognition of differences in style and tone. Understanding complex technical writing on familiar subjects can also be done without much effort.
DELF A2 - the French Ministry of Education - 2021To obtain a DELF certificate, a student must successfully pass both a written exam and an oral interview at the DELF level of their choice.
A2 Elementary: At this level, a person can understand and express simple, everyday information (ordering food, talking about weather) and can express common feelings. At this stage, the person can interact in a simple way with French speakers.

TOEFL - score: 520 - Bakrie University - 2021The TOEFL was a requirement for my bachelor studies, as it aimed to assess my English language proficiency for educational purposes.

Najma is a very nice and competent teacher. Her lessons are interesting and fun.
As a native speaker she obviously knows Indonesian well, but her English is also very good, which helps me lot as I do no understand everything in bahasa yet. Highly recommended!
