Hey there! I'm Ed, I live in Cape Town, South Africa. I am native in English and Portuguese. I've been teaching both languages for 4 years. Before teaching, I studied Industrial/Systems Engineering. I've worked as a translator/interpreter. I'm getting my TEFL Certification to enhance my teaching skills.
I love languages! Currently, I speak Spanish, French, Italian and I am learning German. When I'm not teaching, I spend time playing football and basketball, playing guitar, watching movies, or staying active at the gym or pool. Music keeps me energized, and I'm a fan of tech and programming. I enjoy chatting about different things and meeting new people. Let's start this adventure together!عني كمعلّم
I'm super patient and make sure our lessons feel comfy for you. I'm here to help you learn languages in a fun way. I've been teaching for 4 years, and I love making our lessons easy to understand. My background in engineering helps me create cool ways to learn. I speak English, Portuguese, and a few other languages like Spanish, French, and Italian. I'm even learning German now! Besides languages, I'm into sports like football and basketball, playing guitar, watching lots of movies, and checking out new tech stuff. Let's chat about what you love and learn together. I liked having conversation in English with Edmilson because he is patient, kind and engaging! He motivated me to speak as much as possible in English because he asked interesting questions about me, my interests and hobbies and my country. He adapted lesson to my needs and preferences in topics. Also he gave me interesting activities to participate in during the lesson. He asked me to choose an option and explain why I chose one option over the other. And he also gave me the chance to ask him any questions that I had in my mind. He is respectful and nice and he likes teaching languages to other people because he is interested in learning languages and meeting new people! It was nice to meet him and have an interesting conversation for today!
