Varvara

Varvara is an excellent teacher. I can't recommend her highly enough. I started last year with zero Russian at my command and now I can spend an entire lesson speaking only in Russian. Part of what makes Varvara such an effective teacher is that she speaks clearly and engagingly, at a pace that matches the student's level of listening comprehension, and with vocabulary simple enough to keep the conversation going but advanced enough to encourage growth. She also has endless patience, which for me is a must, as I have an endless amount of questions on even the most obscure points of grammar. Varvara was the first and only Russian teacher I ever connected with on iTalki and all I can say is that I got extremely lucky.

Варя - умный и открытый преподаватель, у нее есть понимание грамматики и преподавания, и она знает, как передать это на практике. Я бы выбрала ее в качестве преподавателя в любое время. Я выберу еще несколько уроков с ней и могу рекомендовать ее всем.

Уже три встречи с Варварой у меня были, и теперь могу сказать, что она супер учительница. В принципе, использую iTalki, чтобы помочь мне с разговорной речи, и нашел я отличную учительницу, с которой могу с легкостью общаться. Она говорит и ясно и грамотно и это очень мне помогло. Очень вам советую записаться на уроки к Варваре!

I have a pretty solid level of Russian that's a bit rusty. Each lesson, I just chat with Varya and she's good at correcting my grammatical/vocabulary/pronunciation mistakes without interrupting the flow of conversation. Мне всегда рада говорить с ней :)
