I'm Lyndon, and for the past 14 years, I've been teaching students in Filipino/Tagalog, Waray, and English. I offer a variety of classes that are all customized to match your goals and needs. You can get my assistance with vocabulary devt., grammar, oral fluency, reading, and writing. My classes are designed to help you improve your communication skills by getting you involved in interesting discussions, exercises, and conversations about a variety of subjects, including culture, travel, visiting friends and family, interests, and anything else you can think of. I enjoy learning and teaching a lot. I have a Doctorate in Education, a Master's in Public Mgmt., and a Bachelor's in Education.عني كمعلّم
What I appreciate most about teaching is my students. I like conversing with them, learning from them, and supporting them in grasping the subject matter of any course. At the elementary, high school, and university levels, I've taught students ranging from beginners to advanced. For a few years, I also served as a mentor to university student teachers.
My hobbies include listening to music, watching films & documentaries, sports, traveling both locally and abroad, and meeting people from various cultural backgrounds and interests. What about you? Learning Filipino (Tagalog)/Waray in my class would be much more enjoyable and interesting since I incorporate Philippine culture, traditions, values, and much more. I guarantee that we will learn extremely useful words, phrases, sentences, grammar in Tagalog, Waray & English. We'll be doing discussion and reading articles, poetry, and songs. We may also talk about things like travel, visiting someone, dining, work, emergency situations, and so forth.

TEFL Certificate of Completion - TEFL Professional Development Institute - 2020What was required to get the TEFL Certificate of Completion is to finish the 120 Hour Course just like the TESOL. Study and take the quiz of each module, then take final test. I have been for more than a year now with Teacher Lyndon, and I can confidently say that he is one of the best Tagalog teachers here on italki. With his patience, endless learning materials for all language levels (A1 to C1), and teaching style, he makes me excited to learn even more every day about the Philippines, its language, but also culture, history and cuisine. Tolerant, empathetic, helpful and open, I find Teacher Lyndon ideal for anybody who wants to learn Tagalog, from young to old, from the very basic levels to more advanced ones. Maraming salamat po sa lahat sa ngayon, at magkikita-kita tayo sa susunod na linggo!

After a few months, I have seen my Tagalog skills improve drastically. I went from struggling to create basic sentences correctly to being able to quickly convey my ideas with fewer mistakes. After learning the concepts of the language and practicing them a little, we can use free talk to practice my conversational skills and keep my grammar and vocabulary fresh. With how much I have improved in Tagalog in the amount of time I have spent learning with Lyndon, I am excited to continue with him.
