In the classes I've had with Lyndon, he has consistently had an amazing attitude and been very supported of my journey learning Tagalog. His materials are effective and he makes sure that you understand everything with spaced repetition to increase retention. In my classes, he is using real-world examples to help me learn so that I can connect grammar concepts and vocabulary to something tangible. I will definitely continue lessons with him!

As an educator, I value teacher Lyndon's style of teaching. He is always using formative assessment to gather information to make the learning experience more enriched. Something as seemingly simple as the teaching strategy of KWL- what I know, what I want to know and what we will learn- goes a long way for me in making this process feel less static/ less like learning from a book. He is witty, funny, calming, reassuring and very knowledgeable about his subject matter. He makes sure that you have time to share your insights on various topics- things about your country, your family, culture. He gives many chances to practice speaking- pronunciation, reading, dialogue. He allows you as a reader to auto-correct while gently assisting at words you might struggle with. He adjusts learning objectives in real time to ensure that the lesson is an overall success. He is not afraid of feed-forward/ feedback. Overall, this is the mark of an excellent teacher.

His patience and methodical approach to teaching truly stand out; he ensures comprehension by thoroughly explaining concepts and then asking me to read aloud what he's written.
