Sandra is EXACTLY the kind of teacher I need to get me talking fluently and with grammatical errors removed. It's true, as a native English speaker,.. everyone seemingly switches to English to converse with me and when they hear me speaking German... I'm generally understood but not corrected with the details that are so important to fluency. I would like to keep Sandra a secret ... but no... she deserves the credit! A natural born teacher!

Sandra is the teacher that I hoped to have when I looked for a teacher here. I’ve been taking lessons with her for a while now, and I can already see a big improvement that I understand German much better in everyday situations and I can express myself more easily. What I really like about her teaching is that she corrects me right away in the chat and gives me natural phrases and expressions that I can actually use in everyday life. She also organizes her corrections, for example by showing me whether it’s an article mistake or another grammar issue, which makes it much easier to see what I still need to work on. We also talk about all kinds of different topics, so I’m constantly learning new words and getting more comfortable talking about different things in German. I can 100% recommend taking lessons with Sandra!

I could not have asked for a better German tutor. You are smart, friendly, a patient listener and also interesting to listen to. Thank you for keeping the topics and writing assignments intellectually stimulating and relevant. You really keep me engaged while also pushing me to acquire the words and grammar I most urgently need to acquire!

I honestly can’t recommend her enough! She is an amazing German teacher and really knows what she’s doing. What I appreciate most is that she pays close attention to my mistakes and quickly notices my weaknesses. She doesn’t just correct me—she explains things clearly, helps me understand what I’m doing wrong, and makes sure we keep working on those areas until I improve. At the same time, she is always encouraging, patient, and supportive, which makes learning German feel much less stressful. She is also incredibly friendly and easy to talk to, so the lessons always feel comfortable and enjoyable. I’ve tried many different teachers on italki, and I can genuinely say that I’ve never found a teacher like her. I finally feel like I’m making real progress with my German. If you’re looking for someone who truly pays attention to you and knows how to help you improve, I highly recommend her!
