Hello! my name is Anirut Khamngoen. You can simply call me Bank. I was born and raised in Chiang Rai The North part of Thailand. I have been living in Chiang Mai for more than 10 years. So I can speak Lanna language which is a dialect and spoken in The northern Thailand, I also speak standard Thai and I have been learning English of several years. I'm a friendly and chilled person. My hobbies are playing traditional Thai music and helping people who want to learn and improve their Thai language.عني كمعلّم
I graduated with bachelor’s degree in Thai language at Chiang Mai University. I am an International School teacher teaching Thai to Thai and foreigners. So I know the problems about learning Thai are and I want to figure it out therefore I decided to be a tutor here on italki so that I could have my own platform and my own style of teaching which my students and I can collaborate and design lessons together. We could talk about anything under the sun such as Thai food, Thai culture and tourist hotspots in Thailand. I can help you to achieve your goals of learning the Thai language whatever level you are on.

I have a very relaxed teaching style. I would speak Thai as much as I could so that you can practise your listening skill and surrounded yourself with Thai language. I prefer to talk with my students as a friend to make sure that the students will feel at ease, confident, and comfortable during studying and release their ability of learning best. Every lesson with Bank is fun and enjoyable
When I make mistakes, and trust me I make them, he’s always very polite in correcting and helps me to understand the differences between spoken and written language
He’s a great teacher and I highly recommend him

Considering first lessons are difficult to prepare for because you don't know anything about your potential new student's ability, the lesson felt like we had already been learning together for a while. Bank was super friendly and had great ideas about the direction to take my future learning. Will definitely be having more lessons with him :) Thanks Bank!

Learning Thai with Bank has been an amazing experience from the very start. His teaching style is motivating, well-paced, and always adapted to the student. For the first time, I truly feel seen and understood as a learner, which makes studying Thai both effective and enjoyable.
The lessons are fun, relaxed, and engaging, and Bank encourages students to bring their own interests into the learning process, which makes learning even more exciting. I’m learning Thai to communicate with my wife’s family and my friends, for work, and because I genuinely love Thailand. Being able to understand and speak Thai, watch Thai content, and feel part of the culture is an incredibly rewarding experience. Seeing how happy people are when you speak their language, and being able to read my first lines of Thai, makes the journey even more special.
I’m truly thrilled to have Bank as my ajarn and highly recommend him to anyone looking for an inspiring and supportive Thai teacher.
