Hello everyone, I’m Jiyeon, born and raised in South Korea! I’m currently living in Croatia and I speak standard Korean. I work as a graphic designer, and I really enjoy learning foreign languages. I’m studying English, Chinese, Swedish, and Croatian, so I understand the struggles of language learners very well. Based on my own language-learning experience, I’ll make Korean easy and fun for you!
안녕하세요 한국에서 나고 자란 지연이에요! 저는 현재 크로아티아에 살고 있고, 표준 한국어를 구사하고 있어요. 저는 현재 그래픽 디자이너로 일하고 있고, 외국어 공부를 좋아해요. 저도 영어, 중국어, 스웨덴어, 크로아티아어 등 다양한 외국어들을 공부하고 있기 때문에 여러분의 고충을 잘 이해하고 있어요. 제 외국어 학습 경험을 토대로 여러분에게 한국어를 쉽게 가르쳐드릴게요.عني كمعلّم
I’ve been teaching Korean for quite a while now – over 1,400 lessons with students from all around the world! Back in China, I taught Korean to local university students for 2 years and even worked a few times as a Chinese-Korean interpreter. During my university years in Korea, I often helped international friends polish their Korean essays.
지금까지 전 세계 학생들과 함께 1400회가 넘는 한국어 수업을 했왔어요! 중국에서 교환학생으로 대학을 다니던 때는 2년 동안 현지 대학생들에게 한국어를 가르쳤고, 중–한 통번역을 맡았던 경험들도 있어요. 또 한국에서 대학을 다니면서는 유학생 친구들의 한국어 작문 숙제를 자주 함께 봐주곤 했답니다.دروسي وأسلوب تدريسي
In my class, we’ll talk about topics you’re interested in, and I’ll focus on improving your fluency. I’ll encourage you to speak as much as possible and to be confident in expressing yourself. While you talk, I’ll give you feedback on grammar and vocabulary. If you’d like to learn faster, I can also give you some homework to work on after class.
I try to keep my own talking to a minimum so that you get the maximum speaking time. And if you have specific goals or preferences, we can design the curriculum together to match your needs.موادي الخاصة بالتدريس

The best! Jiyeon is a confident and more than capable teacher who is friendly and fun to learn with. The lessons are tailored to fit my every need and we progress at a speed that is comfortable for me as a student. Worth every penny.

For the lesson, I had a very special request. I wanted to go over the Korean lyrics for a song I will be performing and make sure that I was pronouncing things correctly. The teacher walked me through things carefully and gave me great feedback. I felt much more confident after! Thank you and I would love to take more classes!

Jiyeon was a pleasure to chat with! It was our first meeting so it was a little nerve-wracking for me as I don't have much experience actually speaking Korean but she was easy to talk to and made me feel comfortable. Would definitely book with her again!
