Hi there! I’m an English teacher and entrepreneur from sunny South Africa with a passion for yoga and the outdoors. If I’m not teaching, you’ll likely find me on a hiking trail, in the kitchen, or immersed in a creative project. I’ve had the privilege of connecting with hundreds of students globally, and I’m currently expanding my own horizons by studying psychology and alternative healing, allowing me to bring a mindful, person-centered approach to every lesson.عني كمعلّم

Growing up in the vibrant diversity of South Africa has given me a unique perspective on how we communicate across cultures. I believe the most effective way to master a language is through a conversational, person-centered approach. She's a very qualified person with many resources and skills. She's very committed to her students and adapts the class to the specific needs. She's a great communicator, she uses a standard language with a neutral accent, with a very rich vocabulary. She's a fantastic teacher.

This was my first lesson with Jessica Oakley. It was an amazing trial lesson where we spoke of various goals, interests, and future lesson plans. I have some experience with Afrikaans, but I still consider myself a beginner. She encouraged me to speak and practice Afrikaans. She was a fun, understanding, and patient teacher. I'm eager to book another lesson with her and improve my Afrikaans.
