Bonjour, hello, здраствуйте!
My name is Katia, I am 29 year old and I am currently working as a business developer in the chemical industry.
I love travelling and I actually have been in many countries all around the world. I love discovering new cultures and meeting new people. So far, I have lived in France (I am French) but also Russia because I am half-Russian! I have also lived 1 year in the USA, in Atlanta, Georgia and 1 year in Japan.
I also love cooking, reading, learning languages, lifting weights at the gym, basketball (used to be a professional player).
I have been teaching on italki for 4 years now and I love it.عني كمعلّم
I have been teaching French for 5 years.
I am very patient with my students and mostly focus on the speaking part. A good lesson for me would be to practically not talk at all during the lesson, only to correct your mistakes!
As long as you can speak some words, I can adapt the conversation to your level.
I also love having a naturally flowing conversation, I will talk to you as I would talk to my friends in France :)
I do have a job besides italki and keep teaching people because I love meeting new people and hear all the different experiences from you.دروسي وأسلوب تدريسي
As I said earlier, I put a big accent on speaking in my classes and find different ways to do it. I mostly love working on news articles tailored to your level (do not worry, you won't have to read "Le Monde" if you are a beginner in French!), or videos with a script.
I do not spend much time on grammar, but it mostly depends on your level and your needs. However, when I do teach grammar, it is not very long and we end up speaking using the new grammar point.
But of course if you have other needs, I am happy to hear what you are looking for and design the best lesson possible for you, wether it is preparing a trip abroad, a language exam to study abroad, etc.موادي الخاصة بالتدريس

Katia est très douée à aider les étudiants à discuter et pratiquer le français. Elle faisait attention à mes fautes, et m’a corrigé toute de suite. (Je lui ai expliqué que je préfère qu’elle me corrige chaque fois, mais elle a déjà commencé à le faire.) J’attends avec impatience notre cours prochain.

Katia était très facile à comprendre et avec qui parler. Je voulais pouvoir avoir une conversation en français et elle me l'a très volontiers fourni, le temps est passé très vite.

Katie is super fun to talk to, and also very encouraging. She points out the errors in my sentences well. It helps that she herself is learning new languages apart from French and that makes her understand the challenges of a new learner.
I liked mt first class with her.
