I grew up in Lebanon in an amalgam of cultures, languages, and traditions. Since I was a child, I have been exposed to both Lebanese and French culture, as Lebanon is a place where oriental and occidental cultures meet. In 2019, I moved to Prague for my studies, and I am now based between Beirut and Prague. I studied arts and have a master’s in directing of alternative theater. I am interested in all types of arts and sports (I also am an experienced horseback rider), and I have a deep love for traveling and discovering new cultures. So one thing I find great about Italki is to be able to meet people from around the world even while being at home ;)عني كمعلّم
I really believe that practicing as much as possible and making mistakes is the best way to learn a language! 😄
I have been teaching on Italki since November 2020, and I have met a lot of people from around the world, kids and adults; beginners and advanced speakers. I am patient and know how important it is to repeat things for them to be clearly understood and remembered. I also know that each person has their own way of learning, so I adapt to whatever is best for you.
I have been learning Spanish, German, and Czech, so I have experience when it comes to discovering new words and pronunciation. I will guide you through French sounds and spellings step by step, at your own rhythm.دروسي وأسلوب تدريسي
Each lesson is adapted to your personal needs and preferred learning methods.
Conversation practice focuses on vocabulary, pronunciation and listening. We either discuss a chosen topic, focusing on the vocabulary related to it, or have a casual conversation. You will learn ways of speaking and new expressions. If we encounter a new word or one that is not clear, I will write it so that you can read it and grasp it better.
The beginners’ course focuses on basic grammar, pronunciation and vocabulary. We will use texts and images to discover new topics, and practice by doing exercises and forming simple sentences. We will combine reading, writing and speaking.موادي الخاصة بالتدريس

Mara est une enseignante unique, elle crée une atmosphère accueillante, fait les corrections nécessaires avec politesse et naturel. Les cours sont agréables et on ne voit pas le temps passer.

Mara n’est pas seulement une excellente enseignante mais aussi une personne formidable. Elle enseigne avec passion et se soucie de s'assurer que l'élève apprenne. Les cours sont agréables et bénéfiques. C'est une enseignante différente.

Mara est toujours très patiente avec moi. Nous pouvons parler de n'importe quel sujet et elle m'aide toujours à m'exprimer. Elle a une manière très sympathique. J'apprécie beaucoup les leçons.

This was my third lesson with Mara. She is a reliable teacher who has a really pleasant manner. Her English is excellent, and is very able to provide explanations in French, the language I am learning, as well as in English which is my first language. She has a lot of patience in providing details about grammar and pronunciation. She is flexible and willing to accommodate requests regarding the structure of the lesson. She is easy to talk to and conversation flows. I look forward to my lessons with her. I think she would be a fit for learners of any level. (My spoken skills are rudimentary, my written ability is better, working on B2.)
