I am Miss K, a Korean-German individual who has been teaching foreign languages for over a decade in Germany, as well as in the United States and Canada. My academic background includes a major in German linguistics and a minor in Graphic Design. After discovering my passion for teaching languages, I relocated to the US to pursue a teaching degree. During my time in the US, I gained experience as a student teacher for French and Spanish in elementary schools, as well as working as a substitute teacher in K-8 settings.

They often say, "Do what you love, or love what you do." For me, teaching foreign languages is a passion that I would happily pursue even without any compensation. Being fluent in both Korean and German, I have developed effective methods to easily acquire additional languages, which I am eager to share with others.
When learning a foreign language, it is essential to delve into the associated culture and its people. I strongly believe in the power of enjoyable and interactive learning. In my teaching approach, I customize each lesson to meet the unique needs of every individual. I incorporate reading, speaking, listening, and writing activities to ensure a well-rounded language learning experience. To enhance understanding and engagement, I make use of diverse resources such as textbooks, videos, songs, and articles.

I’ve never resonated more with a teacher than I have with Miss K. I can say with confidence that she cares to establish a good rapport with her students before anything else! I felt like she cares about me as an individual student as well as my unique learning style.

Ich hatte meine erste Stunde bei ihr. Sie war sehr sympathisch und freundlich, sie hat mich unterstützt wenn ich was nicht konnte. Und ist mit mir alles öfters durchgegangen bis ich es konnte.Der Unterricht war auch sehr gut vorbereitet. Ich sehe sie bestimmt wieder. Tolle Lehrerin :)

Learning from Miss K has been a lot of fun. She makes the lessons stress free and more of a conversation as opposed to hardcore classroom feel. Shes great at moving at a speed tailored for the quality of learning. Would recommend her to anyone and everyone!
