Hello, my name is Zakaria, I'm 28 years old, I'm an Algerian, from Oran la radieuse.
I am graduated with a master's degree in French, specializing in language and culture and a DALF C2 diploma, French and Arabic are my mother tongues, but I can also speak English.
I'm passionate about the arts, literature and in love with graphic novels.
I am also a huge fan of Video games, cosplay and manga ! ( One piece is my favorite manga ! 👒)
I love talking to people, discovering new cultures and sharing my knowledge and culture.عني كمعلّم

I teach on italki since October 2020.
I am flexible and open to ideas and suggestions. I am specialized in communication, I can also adapt, according to the student's needs. I am always ready to listen and do everything I can to help my students feel as comfortable as possible and to maintain a healthy and complementary student-teacher relationship.

My method is based on communication and conversation in French, I encourage the student to speak only in French during the course, except when necessary, ask questions in English, we can talk about any subject without any problem.
I generally adapt my program and plan according to the level and age of the student using French method manuals such as Edito , I also use playful tools such as videos, images and other multimedia tools.
If the student wants to work on something specific, there is no problem for me, I will adapt to it.

Zak is a wonderful teacher and a very kind person. I am very happy to have found him. The material he uses for the structured lessons are great! He is well prepared for every lesson and teaches a good balance of grammar, vocabulary, written and oral comprehension as well as speaking and writing. He gives homework to practice what we learnt in between lessons. He is extremely knowledgable and has a great way of explaining things. I feel my French progressing with him and he is very encouraging. I highly recommend him!

In lessons, he strikes an appropriate balance between getting the student to express themselves in the target language as much as possible while also ensuring that he provides scaffolding/support where required so as to build confidence.
