Allen is very friendly and easy to talk to. We started off by chatting a little in Mandarin, Allen was good at checking he understood what I was trying to say when I had a little trouble getting my words out. Then we started on some Cantonese basics, using a mix of English and Mandarin, which is what I was hoping for. The lesson went just like I wanted it to. I look forward to the next one!

Allen is an excellent teacher. Professional and very well prepared for the lesson. Very patient, can explain grammar in an easy and understandable way. My pronunciation definitely improved as well as reading of the characters. When asked, he will assign homework and then check it and point out any errors. His explanations are clear and easy to understand. I enjoy Mandarin lessons with Allen a lot.

Very helpful explanations in English and Cantonese (while learning Mandarin) from Allen. He focused on the proper sounds of the alphabet. The only downside was some platform issues that he was experiencing.
