Hello! I am Shoko, a professional Japanese teacher. I've been teaching Japanese for over 7 years. I am qualified and try to make all the content easy to understand. In addition, I always keep in mind to make my lessons fun and comfortable, and never make you nervous about speaking Japanese.
Beginner language learners tend to feel nervous about speaking and become less confident because of the teacher's too many corrections. I never make you feel like that! Please relax and enjoy Japanese :)

Shoko is just awesome. She's so personable and nice and very knowledgeable. She takes the time to make sure you get to fully grasp and practice a concept before you move on. Truly a top tier teacher on italki!!!

ありがとうございました！Another great lesson with しょこ先生。This week Shoko taught me more kanji, we did a JLPT N5 kanji review, reviewed the より、のほうが comparisons and learnt how to conjugate adjectives into the くて、で forms! また来週ね！

I’ve had a few lessons and I already feel confident and motivated. Shoko 先生 always takes the time to make sure I understand everything and answers my questions thoroughly.
