I am a qualified Finnish language teacher living in Estonia. I hold a Master’s degree in Finnish language and have also studied pedagogy. I have over 5 years of experience teaching in various schools, and including online teaching, I have more than 8 years of total teaching experience.

In my work I strive to respect the values of self-authority and open communication. I am a strong proponent of positive reinforcement. Learning something new always involves a degree of vulnerability, and I believe that vulnerability should be met with respect, patience, and encouragement.
I enjoy having interactive lessons where we exchange ideas and thoughts, especially about languages. I believe in being open about my own shortcomings — every language has vast and unfamiliar areas, even for professionals.دروسي وأسلوب تدريسي
In my view, the key to learning a language is using it actively and consistently. Grammar should be seen as a tool for understanding the logic and structure of a language, rather than as a set of rigid rules. I like to emphasize the patterns and thinking behind grammar, helping learners see it as a support for communication, not a barrier.
While some methods claim to guarantee results within a fixed timeframe, I believe language learning is a deeply individual process. Research in pedagogy shows that people have different needs, motivations, and learning styles. No single method works for everyone. Лаури замечательный преподаватель. Чуткий и очень тактичный. Мой английский не на самом высоком уровне и мне очень тяжело даются уроки, но Лаури самый терпеливый учитель, которой мне попадался за весь мой опыт как студента. Lauri did a great job today explaining participles. Although it still takes me a lot of effort to understand these structures, which are not all in my native German, and there are so many aspects to pay attention to, I see things much more clearly now. So a big thank you!
