Hi, I’m Sophie, a passionate educator and polyglot with a strong background in intercultural education, human rights, and foreign languages.
I have experience teaching French as a second language to children, adults, migrants, and refugees, including learners in UEP2A classes—specialized programs in France for newly arrived non-French-speaking students, helping them acquire French, integrate into regular classrooms, and develop academic and social skills.
I also teach online, creating interactive, inclusive, and practical lessons that build confidence, develop language skills, and foster curiosity.

My lessons cover all aspects of French, including vocabulary, grammar, and practicing listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills. I combine formal instruction with practical, interactive exercises, making lessons suitable for academic, professional, or everyday use.
To make learning engaging and relevant, we can use a variety of materials—translating song lyrics, analyzing articles or news, exploring book excerpts, or reading dialogues from novels or plays. Sophie is absolutely amazing! I cannot recommend her enough. She tailors each lesson to what I need and what I am interested in learning - including specific vocabulary I need for my job here in France. She is patient, kind and empathetic but also pushes me to go further than I think I can. She brings much needed structure and support to my French learning. I find myself looking forward to my lessons with her and always feel so confident at the end of every one. I was caoched by Sophie for DELF A2 exam. Her lessons were engaging and useful as she used the teaching materials from DELF workbook. She helped me on conversation, listening and writing skills! Absolutely love Sophie's lessons! Sophie is extremely patient and kind. She will tailor the lesson to include things that interest you and keep it very fun. I have already become much more confident speaking French since I started working with Sophie a month ago. I always look forward to our lessons together. I highly recommend working with Sophie!

Sophie is a very good teacher. Even though my French is not very good, I feel no pressure when communicating with her. I can express myself slowly and comfortably, and I would recommend her to everyone. At the same time, she reminds me of a book called Sophie's World. She is a person with a lot of ideas and depth.
