I’m Kate, a British English coach with over 13 years of experience helping adults speak more clearly and confidently.
My lessons are based on thoughtful, engaging conversation. We explore interesting topics while I guide you to express your ideas more naturally, expand your vocabulary and improve fluency.
Students often say I am patient, supportive and very clear in my explanations. I help you understand why something works and give practical ways to improve immediately.
Lessons are structured but relaxed, with clear feedback and steady progress.
Best suited to motivated adult learners who enjoy meaningful conversation.

One of my strengths is helping learners understand why something works in English, not just correcting mistakes. I enjoy breaking complex language into simple strategies that students can use immediately.
I specialise in helping intermediate and advanced learners improve fluency, expand vocabulary and develop more natural sentence structures.
For IELTS students, I focus on the practical skills examiners want to hear: clear structure, precise vocabulary and confident speaking.
Many students stay with me for months because they appreciate the structured approach and steady progress.

I started my lessons with Kate about two months ago, and I can definitely say that it was very useful for my future IELTS test. Today we practiced the speaking part and we noticed that I make almost no mistakes, which was not the case when we just started. Also, thanks to my teacher I know what to expect from the test and this makes me feel confident and less nervous which I think is essential for getting the grade one is aiming for.

I had two months before the test when I registered for it, and I believe that I feel ready despite such a short notice mainly thanks to my teacher Kate. There is no doubt I would recommend taking lessons with her because not only does she know what is important for the examiners, but also has an ability to analise the current level of the student and find the right way to improve it. And last, but not least - Kate is a lovely person and she very easy to talk to!

My IELTS class with Kate was very helpful. She explained how to approach the written tasks of the Academic IELTS exam more effectively, notably how to structure the text for Task1 and how to form topic sentences. I would definitely recommend the class to anyone preparing for the IELTS exam.
