As the author of *"How to Go Up a Band in IELTS"*, I help ambitious learners like you achieve **faster results** with proven techniques. My background as a retired programmer and public speaking coach means I focus on **practical, real-world English**—whether for IELTS, interviews, or presentations.
With a Master’s in IT and British Council-trained IELTS teaching, I’ve guided hundreds of students to succeed in moving abroad or advancing careers. My gentle, patient style makes complex skills feel simple.

My teaching style is patient and kind. I use my varied experience as a software engineer, charity worker and public speaking group leader, along with extensive training in IELTS, a CERT EDI TEFL level 5 certificate, and a native British accent not related to any particular region of Britain to create great learning experiences for my students. I focus on practical skills.

This was my last class with Kate, and I must say she is absolutely wonderful. She takes the time to explain things like grammatical structures with creative examples and different perspectives, making everything easier to understand. I mainly practiced writing and speaking with her, and she provided excellent tips that are incredibly useful for the IELTS.
Highly recommended! She is very empathetic, so don’t hesitate to choose her!
