I was born in Fukuoka Prefecture, located in the south of Japan, and now live in Tokyo.
I speak standard Japanese.
I can also teach the Fukuoka dialect. The most popular dialect in Japan is the Fukuoka dialect!
(It is the No. 1 dialect that men want their girlfriends to speak).
I like to go out and discover new things, eat tasty food, and watch movies.
I love teaching, and I am passionate about coaching learners and teaching them the tools they need to improve their skills and confidence in Japanese.عني كمعلّم
I am very calm and very patient. I truly believe that we learn best and improve the most when we feel confident, relaxed and happy.
My current students say that I am a very affable person.
I promise that students will feel relaxed and conversant with me.
My goal is for students to leave each class feeling like they learned as much as they possibly could and motivated to learn more!
I have experience working for a major Japanese bank and insurance company, and have trained new employees.
I can also teach business manners and traditional Japanese business thinking.

I help students identify and improve the problems they are facing (grammar, pronunciation, vocabulary, etc.).
There are several courses available for this.
The Beginner Grammar Course is not only about explaining the rules, but it also focuses on communication and includes a lot of conversational practice.
I believe that we learn through doing, so I make sure you speak as often as possible in class.
I also use various tools such as documents, PPT, news, pictures, etc.
Finally, I review your learning goals regularly so that we can adapt and change the course to suit your ongoing needs and interests.

Akiko San is a perfect Japanese conversation partner. She is always extremely well-prepared for the lesson, explains things well, and has a warm and kind personality. These three things together make for a wonderful one hour of conversation.

Thank you! It was an excellent lesson as usual. I love how あきさん kindly and eagerly teaches me about Japanese culture. It's very interesting. The PowerPoint presentations she shares are always professional and easy-to-understand. I recommend taking lessons with her :)

I had a very hard time with tonight's grammar points. Aki-san has unbelievable patience! I am so grateful to her for being so willing to go over the same points so many times. I will have to study harder this week. We will review this again next week and I am sure I will do better.
