I'm Stephy, 32, NATIVE swede, (clear accent) with big passion to teach and guide you on your swedish journey
✅ I started teaching over 14 years ago. I used to work as a substitute teacher in Sweden in schools for kids age 6-16, teaching Swedish among other subjects but have now for over 4 years been working online, teaching adults (and kids) instead and love spreading my native langauge forward and helping others grow 😀
🥰I love travelling and learn about cultures, languages and meet people. I am currently learning Portuguese at intermediate level so I understand what it is like to learn a new languauge. I visited 55 countries. I also love singing, music, yoga, adventure.عني كمعلّم
I am openminded to different ways of teaching but I also have my own way of doing it. I create my own useful documents and using well chosen material during class and that I will send you after class and share on google document.
I am a patient, positive and encouraging teacher, that do my best making my students feel safe to make misstakes but also to shine of course ✨
I'm always giving advice/tips that can make you learn swedish faster and easier. (Example: basic common slang (and how it sounds when you hear it), how to pronounce words easier, how to remember grammar rules etc. what is less important or more. **I KEEP A 24 HOUR CANCELATION AND RESCHEDULING POLICY**
**CLASSES ARE 25, 40 & 55 MINUTES LONG**
📕I customize the classes for each student's goal. I will guide you on your swedish journey taking into consideration your wishes and I'm also able to guide you by what I sense you need in order to reach your goals.
🤝Together we are practicing both conversation/pronunciation, listening-comprehention, reading/understanding, writing, basic slang, vocabulary, grammar. I encourage as much conversation as possible in the class.
🏠 I'm happy to offer and encourage homework in between the classes to optimize learning.

I have been studying with Stephanie for over a year and have greatly improved my Swedish through our lessons. She does a great job highlighting areas where improvement is needed and guides study to those areas with an emphasis on both vocabulary and grammar in service of clearer communication. Whether you're interested in starting Swedish or know some of the language and would like to continue improving, I definitely recommend lessons with Stephanie!

Stephanie does a great job integrating all elements of communication; reading, writing, speaking, and listening/understanding Swedish. The homework is the right level of challenge, and is helping me to improve quickly.

I have had 13 lessons with Stefanie up till now. I have learned a lot from her. She uses a Google docs document where she writes the words you use while speaking with her. This list has grown quite large. After every lesson she will give some homework for next time. After all these lessons I believe Stefanie is a real good teacher (she used to be one in Sweden too, which is a plus).

Great patience with my six and eight year old as they attempted a video lesson. My kids had fun and Stephanie gave us some good suggestions for furthering their Swedish outside of a lesson.
