Originally from a small town in the UK, where, unfortunately, it always rains, I moved abroad seeking sunshine and adventure. This journey sparked my passion for languages. For me, learning a language is expansive, opening doors to new cultures, ideas, and connections. I speak Spanish, and I find real joy in being able to connect with people I never would have met without learning their language.
As both a teacher and a language learner myself, I understand how challenging (and rewarding) learning a language can be. That’s why my lessons are always tailored to each student; I teach the way I would want to be taught: with patience, creativity, and a focus on real-world communication.عني كمعلّم
I hold a Diploma in Teaching English as a Second Language, a Bachelor's in Psychology, and have 11+ years of experience teaching students of diverse nationalities and levels.
My goal is effective learning. I believe language learning should be an enjoyable and motivating journey, not a chore. Every learner is unique, with their own goals, style, and preferences, so I don’t believe in a one-size-fits-all approach. My classes are tailored to suit your needs, creating a supportive environment where fluency grows naturally and understanding deepens progressively. We learn best by doing. My classes are conversation-focused but follow a clear and structured approach. I explain concepts in a simple, easy-to-understand way and then guide you through targeted practice so you can apply what you’ve learned with confidence.
We also learn best when we enjoy what we’re doing. My classes are creative, dynamic, and interactive, designed to make learning an enjoyable and motivating experience. The activities are designed to reinforce the lesson content, ensuring that by the end of each session, you have a solid understanding of what was covered. Alongside many different tests that checked my knowledge on the subjects I also had to create 4 extensive, in depth and appropriately detailed lesson plans alongside rationales for my chosen plans.

My first class with Sophie went very smoothly. She was friendly, patient, and made me feel comfortable right from the beginning. I liked her clear explanations and the way she guided the conversation so it was easy to speak. We talked about different topics in a natural way, and she corrected my mistakes gently, which helped a lot.
Sophie also used some simple materials during the class to check my level and asked about my learning goals. She explained how we can continue with a structured plan in the next lessons. I’m really satisfied and looking forward to learning more with her!
