Bonjour ! Je suis Mick de Grenoble, France.
👉 I speak fluent English, Mandarin, and Spanish. I’ve studied some Japanese and Cantonese,
languages I’m very interested in but haven’t had the chance to explore further.
👉 I spent about ten years living in Shenzhen and Hong Kong, and around a year in Hawaii.
👉 I co-founded a tea house in Shenzhen, buying tea from farmers in Taiwan.

👉 Science & Astronomy: Always keeping up with new discoveries.

As a teacher, I am first and foremost a lifelong learner. Having studied several languages, I understand the challenges of language learning and enjoy sharing my experiences with my students.
In addition to languages, I also guide students in traditional Chinese arts such as Taiji and Qigong, focusing on well-being and cultural discovery.
I have extensive experience teaching French in various settings: high schools in France, schools in China, private lessons in Hong Kong, and, more recently, online classes with students from all over the world.
My approach is intuitive and tailored to each learner’s needs, combining conversation, listening, and practical activities for real progress. دروسي وأسلوب تدريسي
When I studied languages on my own, I focused on listening and oral repetition before reading, then gradually moved to regular conversation. In conversation classes, we talk about a wide range of topics—philosophy, culture, spirituality, travel, high-tech, sharing experiences, current events, or daily life—and can use dialogues or articles as a base; I correct as we go. General French covers all aspects of the language with audio and textbooks from A1 to C1. Other options include exam preparation, visa or work interview preparation, reading, or survival French. I have been learning French with Mick for several months now, and I truly enjoy his lessons because I can see tangible progress after each session.
Mick places a strong emphasis on the fundamentals: pronunciation, vocabulary, listening, and grammar. He ensures that I pronounce French correctly, master the most practical vocabulary, understand everyday conversations, and grasp essential grammar rules.
Mick is always well-prepared, using carefully selected materials tailored to my learning needs. After each class, he provides helpful homework to reinforce what we’ve covered.
Thanks to his guidance and support, I can confidently engage in simple French conversations now.

He's a very interesting teacher with fascinating stories to share. Even though I'm at an intermediate level, I could understand everything he said, which felt incredibly rewarding. He seamlessly integrated advanced vocabulary without it feeling overwhelming. Our first class was mainly about introducing ourselves, and it went really well. I'll definitely be booking more classes with him.
