Mirjam

I have been working with Miri for several months and I leave every class feeling excited about learning more German! We always start off with casual catching up or small talk before diving into the translations I worked on from a book we are reading together. Miri is great about helping me work on grammar and vocabulary - we always take notes as we go so that I can refer back to them after the lesson. Danke, Miri! :)

I always enjoy my lessons with Mirjam, she is such a nice and friendly person that the lessons feel like an interesting and fluent conversation with a friend. She is very patient and kind, so you are not afraid to make mistakes, which I think is a crucial aspect when learning a new language, especially in the early stages when you are not yet fluent. I highly recommend her if you are looking for a relaxed and friendly atmosphere to feel motivated and confident in speaking German!

Mirjam hace que aprender alemán se haga ameno. No solo es muy paciente, sino que además se esfuerza en buscar material variado e interesante para no caer en los mismos temas una y otra vez. Es tan simpática que hablar con ella se siente como juntarse con una amiga y por eso consigue que uno se relaje, pierda el miedo al idioma y no se obsesione con no cometer errores.

This is my first impression of Miri, but will update as we have more sessions. She is very adaptable, patient and easy to talk to. After only a trial 30 minutes and a full hour of studying with her I am already more confident in my German.
