A very patient and professional teacher who creates a relaxed learning environment. I really look forward to lessons with Coral. She explains grammar and vocabulary clearly and often provides additional examples to help me understand unfamiliar structures or see new vocabulary in context. She is also patient and encouraging. Coral is very skilled teacher and linguist. From the beginning I stated that I would like to focus on daily conversation. For this reason the lesson focusses on Mandarin conversation, even though I am only at HSK 2 level. It takes a lot of skill and patience on Coral's part to have a conversation with me, but she is happy to listen and guide. Because she is very skilled at English and Mandarin she is able to help me out with translation from English to Mandarin if I ask for help, but she lets me try my best to find a way to express myself in Mandarin. Coral's teaching and language skills and bright and positive personality transform the lesson into a very fruitful and enjoyable learning experience. I highly recommend Coral as a Mandarin teacher.
