Bonjour! I’m a native French speaker with a passion for helping others master the language, whether for casual conversation or rigorous exam preparation like the DELF/DALF (A2-C2). My journey living abroad—first in the USA and later in London—has given me firsthand experience with the challenges of keeping a language sharp when it’s not part of daily life. I know how frustrating it can be to feel your skills slipping or to struggle with confidence in speaking. That’s why I’m here to help! Raised in France, I spent my junior year as an exchange student in the US. I hold a Master's Degree in Communications from Sciences Po (class of 2012). My passion for communications fuels lively conversations on everything from media to public relations. As a French teacher, I thoroughly enjoy sharing knowledge and sparking debates with my students—encouraging them to think deeply about language and culture. I use a communicative approach that incorporates discussions, debates, and cultural topics to stimulate critical thinking and make learning enjoyable. I tailor each lesson to the individual needs and interests of my students, blending grammar and vocabulary into practical activities. I've been taking lessons from Lily for quite a while now. She always has something prepared to talk about or work on for the DELF exam. She doesn't hesitate to correct your mistakes and is very helpful at enriching your vocabulary. She was always patient when I'd struggle uttering a sentence and suggested even more fluent ways of the said sentence. Definitely take her if you'd like someone with whom you can practice oral French.

I had a really good session with Lily! We talked about the "zéro déchet" movement which is small but growing in popularity in France, and a little bit about Emmanuel Macron, Trump's decision to withdraw from the Paris Climate Agreement, the attack in London last night and the UK's upcoming general election. Even though mid-way through the lesson my Skype suddenly quit for a few minutes, she gave me the full time of the lesson as soon as I was reconnected which I greatly appreciated.
