Hey there! I’m Nina Anna-Rosa, your Dutch integration guide and expat ally. Based in Wassenaar with my husband and adventure-loving dog Skadi, I blend my passion for the outdoors (hiking, camping, even off-roading!) with helping newcomers thrive in the Netherlands. Whether you’re prepping for exams or daily life, let’s make learning Dutch as exciting as summiting a mountain—one confident step at a time.

With over six years of professional experience, I have become adept in teaching both online and offline settings. Specializing in integration processes, NT2 instruction, and assisting expats, I also facilitate courses aimed at natural conversation skills for enhanced communication fluency.
Prior to my focus on language instruction, I served as a social worker, collaborating with diverse demographics, including children with disabilities requiring pronunciation assistance and the elderly in need of clear articulation support. This background has equipped me with the ability to employ creative and interactive teaching methods effectively.
As a native Dutch speaker, I am here to assist you with your pronunciation, a crucial aspect, especially in mastering a language like Dutch. Building confidence in speaking and embracing mistakes as part of the learning process are key to progress. Social workerI studied social science and worked with disabled children and adults to improve their speech. This is where i found my true love for languages and started to work for italki which eventually grew into my own company.

I believe that focusing on practicing correct pronunciation before learning grammar and reading is the best way to learn a new language. However, it was hard to find a teacher who was experienced in teaching how to make Dutch pronunciations. Now, I found the one, and if you are looking for a pronunciation teacher, don't look further. Nina is the one. She helped my pronunciation improve dramatically. I can now read aloud complicated sentences much more naturally.

I am preparing for the NT2 B2 exam, and Anna is an amazing teacher with such positive energy. She motivates you and gives great advice on how to improve further. She is an excellent observer, noticing your weaknesses and providing helpful suggestions on what to work on. We had a trial lesson and a 1-hour lesson, and she was well-prepared for both. I never feel anxious or shy during her lessons because her positive energy makes me feel so comfortable. Thank you so much! 😍

From the dreaded "pass the Inburgering" level to actually chatting with people on the street in under a year—what a ride! 🚀
I’ve been doing two lessons a week with Nina for the past 8 months, and I’m so happy with how far I’ve come. Before I started, I tried trial lessons with three other teachers, but Nina just clicked. Her lessons are well-balanced between speaking and grammar, and if you’re up for it, she’ll give you enough homework to keep you busy (but not overwhelmed).
Nina’s also just a super chill, smart person, and I honestly enjoyed every lesson—even when we were tackling tricky grammar. It felt like chatting with a friend while getting better at Dutch.
Big thanks to Nina—can’t recommend her enough! If you’re thinking about learning Dutch, she’s your teacher.
