I am Alessia, a 31-year-old certified Italian language instructor currently based in Brindisi, located in the Puglia region of Italy. I hold academic qualifications in Chinese and Linguistics from the University of Westminster in London. My professional journey in language instruction began in 2015 during my year-long residence in China, where I gained valuable teaching experience. In 2020, I further enhanced my credentials by obtaining the CEDILS certification. Beyond my professional pursuits, I maintain a strong interest in literary studies, gastronomy (with particular emphasis on Pugliese cuisine), and music exploration.عني كمعلّم
I'm a student centered teacher meaning that I put you and your needs at the center of my lesson plan.
As a language learner myself, I know that learning a new language can be tough and frustrating at times so I try to put this awareness into my teaching. I like to encourage my students and guide them during their learning process. دروسي وأسلوب تدريسي
I will take into account your personal interests and try to put those interests into our lessons. I like using different material - depending also on the language level of the student - such as textbooks, short movies, music, audio material, grammar textbook, games, flashcards and so on.

My first lesson with Alessia was great! I felt she is patient and comfortable. I really like her teaching style. I am looking forward to taking more lessons with Alessia! I would encourage anyone that wants to learn or improve in their Italian to work with Alessia!

I've been meeting with Alessia weekly for about six months as a beginner. She is unfailingly patient with my mistakes and always finds another way to explain something when I don't understand. I can see my progress in understanding Italian. I still have a long way to go and hope to continue the journey with Alessia pointing the way.

I enjoyed my trial lesson with Alessia. She encorages and is patient and provided a good idea of what lessons would be like with her and learning materials used. This was my first experience of a lesson on Italki and I was impressed with the platform and Alessia
