I'm Megumi Na, from the Tohoku region of Japan ❄️🏂️
I can speak standard Japanese, Tohoku dialect, and English! I am a big fan of outdoor activities! I also enjoy reading and movies. 🍃📚️
I had a wonderful time as a home stay student in San Diego, USA. I'd love to explore the country more in the future. As a side job, I've been teaching Japanese, English and math for Japanese students over 5 years. In my lessons, I love not only teaching language, but also sharing with you about Japanese culture and traveling in Japan!عني كمعلّم
I have been using italki since May 2021 and currently ranks in the top 1% of 2022 Japanese teachers! For the past 5 years I have been teaching Japanese, English and essay writing to Japanese children up to the age of 18.
Learning Japanese can be difficult at first, but I will help you every step of the way so that you can use this wonderful language with confidence. I always strive to provide satisfying and effective lessons. Let's start learning Japanese with Megumi! さあ、一緒にがんばろう！

I'm here to help you! Whether you are studying for an exam, pursuing a language for personal enjoyment, or using the language for business purposes, I can customize our lessons to suit you prefer. In the first lesson, I'll measure your Japanese proficiency through conversation. I'll use textbooks such as "Genki" and "Minna no Nihongo" according to needs, and various teaching materials that match the learning style. You can learn speaking, listening, grammar, natural expressions and more. You can also learn how to write essays and techniques for interviews. Of course, you can prepare for the JLPT exam. Megumi-sensei is truly a fantastic teacher. I so appreciate how she goes above and beyond for her students!
My most recent lesson with Megumi-sensei was really special. During the lesson, she took me on a virtual walking tour of a historic site. As she walked, she provided an overview of the location’s historical significance and pointed out the different landmarks, and she showed me some really lovely scenery.
Through this lesson, I felt like I both improved my Japanese and went on a mini-adventure, which was awesome. Megumi-sensei did a fantastic job of showing me around and creating an experience that was both fun and educational. Thank you!

I have been taking classes with Megumi-San for several months now and the lessons are always fun and very useful. I get to practice speaking and writing and Megumi-San helps me with grammar and natural expressions. Even when I don’t have a lot of time to practice between lessons, we have effective lessons as Megumi-San is very patient and adapts to my level. I always leave the lessons energized and motivated to continue studying!

Megumi sensei is awesome, she quickly assessed my language level and adjusted so it was fun and challenging. She also talks about normal everyday conversation topics rather than very basic conversation that is typically covered in a language book. I will be rebooking and buying a package!
